Incomprehensibly, it’s still January, and winter has truly descended. Even in LA we’ve hit peak drabness (although welcoming the rain – send good vibes for no further destruction). And what are we wearing while venturing out during hibernation season? Let’s get into it…
Socks and ‘Stocks
There’s no foot without a sock and Birkenstock clog or clog slide out in the streets. This look is cozy and warm and frankly there’s a short window where it flies, so please lean in while the temps permit - the inspo looks like this:

Faux Fur
‘Mob Wife’ isn’t just a trend we saw last winter, it’s a way of life that picks up every year mid-January. That’s because mob wives are smart, and they know that fur is the warmest thing you can wear. Even now that we’re all on the faux train, these are still the warmest and most fun jackets. My favorite way to style them is down, with jeans, and the aforementioned clog shoe or sneaker. Dive in because the time to wear these jackets is NOW.

Frankly I want all the faux fur jackets. I had to literally sit on my hands to stop myself from buying this at Isabel Marant earlier this week. I scratched the itch with this. I also think this from Amazon looks promising.
Need direction with socks? Here’s the breakdown - socks from Le bon Shoppe are cute and have very cool street cred. Bombas are great and they really last. These from Jcrew are thin so they pair well with loafers.
Stay warm and dry and I’ll see you next week!
