Because good sandals sell out

Comfortable sandals you can walk in are the holy grail of footwear, and good sandals sell out, so this year I’m publishing this guide early. Last year I published the sandals guide in July, but who does that help when you’re already on vacation?! I’ve been ordering sandals since February and prancing around my house in preparation for this letter. There are some clear winners, and also a ton of duds, which only reiterates what we already know; good sandals are hard to find.

I was listening to this episode of Fashion People and Lauren Sherman was talking about a pair of Hermes sandals that look like Chacos. What?! Sure enough, if you scroll past the Orans and the Chypres, you’ll find them.
