The Magical Spell of The Row

Aka my spring forecast

I read every trend report and fashion week distillation, and I’m here to tell you that in 2025 we’re eschewing trends altogether, and just doing whatever The Row does. The good news is that The Row is essentially a collection of very nice basics, versions of which you definitely already own, and what we’re really after is the VIBE. Let’s get into it!

Vibe Siphoning

This Post Style article was all about every brand at Fashion Week copying The Row, because we all crave the effortless vibe. But those of us who shop every day already know this. Last year I made a video called “You love the Row, but your budget is low” with some of my best Row copycats. It could have been two hours long. Everyone wants a piece. Why is that good news for us? Because the vibe comes from styling, and you can style less expensive clothes (or the clothes you already own) and get the vibe. Trust me, I do it every day.

Adding personal style

We can’t simply copy The Row and call it Spring 2025, because these pieces, however sophisticated, are also boring. They cry out for a touch of personal style! You have to add the things that always make you feel your best like chunky gold jewelry, or big sunglasses.

Like a movie where the hero realizes she’s had the magic all along, the pieces from The Row are great, but they are just pieces. And whether you got them at The Row, or Vince, or Quince, It’s your personal style that will bring them to life.
