Hello from the East Coast! There’s really nothing like a beautiful day in NYC and we’ve had a handful of them - I’m feeling so grateful, and also inspired! As you know, when the weather is good, so are the outfits.
Today we’re covering the best looks and trends I’ve seen, outfits I packed in a carry on for 8 days of travel (applaud here), and so much more so let’s get right into it!
I see you!
Here are the best things NY’ers are wearing:

See through skirts - and I mean SEE THROUGH. Paired with black full butt undies or boy shorts. I LOVE the polka dot skirt above which, thanks to Google Lens, I know is from Amazon. My hack for feeling secure in a see through skirt is wearing a black bikini bottom (specifically this one from LOF) so I know everything’s covered and held appropriately.
Vintage bags - A vintage bag is really the only way, especially when it comes to a logo bag like the one above. Once again thanks to Google Lens we know this is a vintage Gucci Jackie - similar ones available here and here.
Boat and Tote, but make it your everyday purse. I knew this was happening because I read a lot of NYC based Substacks (
and are two faves) and have been watching this unfold on the internet. I’m a huge fan of this one, and it definitely hasn’t hit LA the same way. If you live in LA, please be the first in your friend group to make this a thing. I was so charmed by everyone’s Boat and Tote in the city that when we went to Maine over the weekend I made my family stop at the L.L.Bean Factory Store so I could stock up (and you know I made a video about it!).Button downs (and then wrap it around your waist) - It really is the best way to add a layer and structure to your summery outfit. I’m going to credit my friend, Donni. founder
, for putting this in the zeitgeist. It’s a great styling trick she’s used in her photoshoots consistently and the perfect way to marry ease and function.
It’s a sneaker city - I see some women wearing sandals in the streets, and their feet look angry. If you’re clocking over 10K steps a day, you need a sporty sandal. I saw a few women with happier looking feet wearing these, these, and plenty of Birkenstocks. The rest? A sneaker. It was the usual mix of Adidas, but I was happy to see these Vans in the mix, and these Pumas.
What I packed:

If you notice a cohesion above, yes you did. I’m doing 8 days, carry on only. Everything needs to do multiple jobs, and work nicely together. It’s all possible thanks to these compression packing cubes, and access to a washing machine (shoutout to my cousin Katie).

My Outfits:

That’s all from the East Coast!
